Additional Description:I always think about the movie Sliding Doors with Gwyneth Paltrow and how I would love to see what would have happened if I walked through a different door.
"When one door closes, another door opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us." - Alexander Graham Bell
···
Sometimes we need that door behind us to stay open just a little bit so that our past and present can collide...leading us in to our future.
Artist StatementI am drawn to the idea of balance and imperfection and how that translates to the paper or canvas. Without knowing this was my goal, someone recently told me that my work reminds them of the Japanese term Wabi-Sabi. Wabi-sabi represents Japanese aesthetics and a Japanese world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete”. A beauty of thing unconventional. This idea is translated to my work as I strive to create a balance of color, texture, movement, and energy. One can say that an artist’s work is never done, and mine is certainly never perfect, but we should all seek to find beauty in life’s imperfections.

What I Love Doing
I love being alone while painting in my studio, going on adventures with my family, yoga, gardening, all things food and wine, travelling, and learning about new things.
What I Find Beautiful
Where do I start?
My Favorite Memory
I don't think I can name one favorite memory, but the entirety of my wedding day is up there. We were surrounded by everyone we know and love to celebrate the love we found with one another. That day set the stage for our lives together which I couldn't be more thankful for.
My Favorite Art Style
How can I choose just one? I would say it's anything that makes me feel something when I look at it.
