I tossed and turned, but still could not put a finger on what was causing my melancholy mood.
Artist StatementIf a piece of my art brings a smile to the viewer, my goal has been reached and I am fulfilled. It is often remarked that I must just be dancing and smiling when I am in my studio. My work is about colors that sing, objects that demand attention or critters that contain whimsical wonder. My florals are impressionist, with little attention paid to the type of flower represented rather than the play of color combinations.
I am happiest in my studio when the colors are bold and I am painting with quick spontaneous stokes.
Artist BiographyTerri Einer is a gestural and expressive artist creating deliciously bold, colorful renditions of still life, flowers, critters, landscapes and abstracts in a few happy strokes. Working in her Oshkosh studio, Terri’s quirky, loose lines, together with her carefree pen squiggles, create scenes that truly comes to life.

What I Love Doing
I love creating, whether it be a painting, quick caricature, or crafting a special gift for a friend. I love color and spontaneity. I love the ocean and travel. Take me anyway I have not been before even if it's just across town.
What I Find Beautiful
First and foremost, I find my small family beautiful. They bring me joy and a love that cannot compare. They keep me grounded. I am touched by the soft heart of a big Labrador or the giggle of a child. Mostly what I find beautiful in life are the simple things; the stars, the ocean, sunshine, a meditative walk and a genuine smile.
My Favorite Memory
My favorite memories are mostly wrapped up in vacations with my family. We've enjoyed the spray of Niagra Falls and the thrill of a whitewater rafting trip in Idaho. It's the smells and vastness of the ocean that clings to my memories as well as the sounds of the waves and seagulls. I loved watching the Lobstermen as they gathered their catch off the coast of Maine and the stillness and quiet at the top of a paragliding run. Colorado brought dynamic storms. These are my favorite memories.
My Favorite Art Style
I paint in the same style that is my favorite, very loose, quick strokes that capture essence of the subject with just a few brush strokes. My favorite art is full of color and personality.
